Welcome to the Neighborhood: Balani
469 Moody Street (article from The Waltham Channel)
An eclectic new restaurant is now open for dinner at 469 Moody Street in the former Raffaele’s location. The rotating menu includes quirky comfort food classics that “sound a little weirder than they are” on the menu, according to Balani owner Dave Becker.
The offerings include donut holes, fried chicken, pizza, flatbreads, burgers and poutine. But don’t be surprised if South American empanadas and Vietnamese pho turn up. Mains run from $20–29, and Balani is open from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m. Tuesday to Sunday. Becker has earned acclaim with his other two restaurants, Sweet Basil in Needham and Juniper in Wellesley. Laid back in his approach, Becker stenciled a makeshift sign when Balani first opened a little while back. The final sign is on the way... Good luck! Photo: Balani (Article/ The Waltham Channel)

Information from the Waltham Health Department:
The City of Waltham Board of Health will work together with residents, business owners, and other City Departments to promote a better understanding of rat/rodent behavior and how to minimize their presence and impact on the community. Our inspectors are committed to rodent control and providing educational information to the public. By working together we can keep our neighborhoods clean and healthy. There's no way around it! To send the rats packing we all have to work together.
